1 stars Simplistic and boring 2009-05-04

Reviewer: B. Carnes

I am pushing through this book slowly but 3/4 of the way find myself bored by the dialogue and the plot. The premise was enticing, but I don't see why people think this book is good.
The character of Mack starts out as an interesting person, but then it seems that in an effort to answer the questions the author wants to impart, Mack is made to ask question that are simplistic; he comments/answers in the same way. Nobody thinks/talks like this in reality.
I find Mack to be unrealistic and the tedious conversations are the author's only way of attempting to creatively answer life's questions.

1 stars HORRIBLE BOOK 2009-05-04

Reviewer: Paula L. Rodriguez

It was an insult to God and sacreligious. God is portrayed as a "buddy" and not the diety that he is. In the story, God is literally cooking dinner and serving the main character. I found it offensive. I do not recommend the book at all.

Thought provoking, hopeful, spritually awakening. I have recommended this book to all my friends seeking Papa on their journey back to Him.

5 stars Provacative book that is great for group discussions. 2009-05-03

Reviewer: B. Yanak

I purchased this book for our womens bible study. We have enjoyed the book
because it deals with the difficult issue of forgiveness and God's purpose in the world. We have found that each chapter was provacative causing interesting discussions amongst us. It has led us to a deeper understanding of the character and essence of God.
